Is there one quality that is more important than the others when it comes to being a leader?
When I wasn’t a leader, I thought that the main part of being one was being in charge.
You get to make decisions.
You get to be important.
You get an office.
But real leadership has not been what I imagined.
And I have had to learn so many different skills…with still more to learn and continue to develop.
To say that one skill is more important than the others is probably incorrect.
They all work together to create a leader that someone would want to follow.
But one of the best places to start for me was LISTENING.
By starting there you are able to hear and then understand what your team needs from you.
This will make things like empowering, inspiring and coaching so much more rich.
